Carrie Hamblen has lived in District 38 since 2005. She shares a 60 year old home with her wife, Char, their two rescue cats, and rescued turtles and tortoise. She has served the community in a number of positions: as the morning News Anchor and Operations Manager at KRWG public radio, as an instructor at NMSU, and as the CEO/President of the Las Cruces Green Chamber of Commerce. She serves as the President of the

Board of the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope and is a former member of the governing council of the J. Paul Taylor Academy Charter School, PFLAG Las Cruces, and Southern NM PRIDE. Carrie believes in creating change at the community level, supporting grassroots efforts that are representative of the areas affected, and bringing all voices to the table to move New Mexico forward.
